Coming to a natural end

Both my blogs on Orble have suffered a good deal of late with my lack of time to do much in the way of blogging.
On one hand I've been rehearsing for the play, When We Are Married, and on the other I've been writing essays and such for the Research Methods paper I've been doing. No doubt I've mentioned both of these before, but a bit of repetition never goes amiss!
Anyway, both of these aforementioned items are coming to their natural conclusions: the last night of the play is tonight (the seventh performance) and the final essay has been written, and now only needs a last-minute check (tomorrow) and then will be sent off.
The play has gone well, with mostly full houses. And people have really enjoyed it, in spite of its age: it turned 71 this year. And it has a cast to match: the pianist who plays at the beginning and end and during the intervals is 83, and still teaching 35 pupils a week (!); the next oldest cast member is 72, the next 69 and so on down the list, until we get to four young people who are all around twenty. So it's a mix of really experienced people and young ones learning the craft. They've been a great team, and we've enjoyed each other's company a good deal.
The Varsity paper has been interesting and worthwhile too. I've found it stimulating, and it helps that it's well related to my work. I've done better with marks than I expected, including getting one A , three As, and a B plus or minus - can't just remember off hand.
And just to add to the mix, we've been renovating again: this time taking down the wall between the kitchen and my 'office' (I'm now sitting in the kitchen, basically, or the kitchen is impinging on my office - whichever way you want to look at it). This wall has been taken down once before in our time in the house, and then put back up again (albeit in a slightly different place). Things never stay still for long in our house.
As a result of all the shifting around, we've been tossing out stuff that didn't get tossed out last time we tossed things out, and trying to find homes for all the other kitchen sinks we seem to accumulate year in and year out. One of these days we might manage to de-clutter!
