Reviewing

I've spent the last couple of nights beginning to sort out the e-book I'd like to do in relation to the posts I wrote at the end of last year and beginning of these relating to the prostate problems and operation I had. At this stage I've got as far as getting all the posts collected, and checking the links and photos. It's a bigger task than I expected, of course, but step by step we'll get there.
It's interesting going back over this period and seeing what things I wrote. One of the surprises is that I wrote less than I thought I had. In my mind there was a lot more detail, but in fact in regards to some events and experiences there wasn't as much as I thought. I'll have to amend that in the e-book, by adding in some explanations and such.
I'm also thinking of including some sections of the God journal I was writing about the same time. I've been writing these for years - they get called various things, including Notes to God - and they're usually too private to show publicly. But there are some aspects of how things were during the prostate patch that would clarify and illuminate some of what turned up in this blog.
I'll be more selective with that stuff, that's all.
And reviewing in another sense, I came across the rather odd little phrase, HID kits a short while ago. I had no idea what it meant and had to go and check it out. HID stands for High Intensity Discharge, itself not a very self-explanatory phrase, but it relates to a certain kind of car light that gives a much better view of the road at night than any lights that have gone before. I can't say I think HID is a very good acronym; to me it rather indicates something that's darker than lighter. Like so many of these things, the people naming the product didn't seem to think the thing right through.
