Updating the state of the wife.
As I wrote in the last post, my wife got hit by a car while on her motor scooter last Tuesday evening. That evening she could barely walk into the house; the next morning it was a struggle for her to get out of bed and walk to the lounge By the time I got home that night from work (she'd been on her own for some of the day) she'd managed to get up and make herself a cup of tea, and was walking around with some more 'speed.'
The next day, while I was at work, she made me a birthday cake, cooked up a pot of soup, made two small meat loaves, and in general was feeling much better. Four days later she's hung out washing and brought it in again, done the vacuuming and a variety of other things. She's a bit niggled she can't get on with the renovation of the kitchen which she'd started the previous weekend, but that'll have to wait for a couple of weeks yet.
She goes back to work - at least part time - on Monday, and then we'll see how she's going from there. She's not excited about getting on a scooter again, and we're not planning to go looking for any life insurance quotes, so she may have drive the car a bit until she can get back to walking to work.
