Started back at work this week: another year of employment, all things being equal. Officially I can retire this year - in May - and from that time I'll get a pension as well as a wage. Might put the pension away in the bank for the time being, until I really need it.
Can't say I was enthused about going back to work, but I've got into the swing of it again, and am surviving. Not sure what the problem with going back was, except that last year was pretty rough in terms of stress (more on the other staff than me) and ill-health, and I'd like to think that this year is going to be different. But who knows what's in store?
I haven't been blogging quite so much over the last week, for two reasons. This site has been closed to me because of 'spammy comments' - this was the message I received from Orble support this morning: Your account was flagged for spam. You are back up and running but try not to post "spammy" comments which may get noticed by the filter. I really have no idea what a 'spammy' comment is, nor whether it was me doing it, or someone else, whether on this blog or another's. Difficult to know from so little information.
It would have been good for Orble to have informed me that they had shut me out (my password wouldn't work, and even when I changed it, thinking there must have been some issue with it, I was still shut out); at least then I would have understood what was going on. But just closing the door and retaining the key on their side was a bit naughty to say the least.
Anyway we're all friends again, apparently, and I'll try to reign in my spamminess from now on!
